Dezhouofficials and company representatives attended the Japanspecial of the "Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500" serial event online on Nov 10.

The event, which took place in Jinanand Tokyo, was jointly hosted by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Shandong Provincial People's Government. It was designed to explore opportunities for further opening up in Shandong province and further cooperation between Shandong and Japanese multinationals.

Agreements on 14 projects with a total investment of $910 million were signed at the event, one of which will be carried out in Dezhou.

The project, signed byMatsumoto Kikai Co, a Japanese manufacturer of automation equipment, and a Dezhou-based machinery company,will focus on theproduction ofpackaging machinery.

The project has a total investmentof $8 million and a planned construction area of 133,000 square meters.
