Voice of the Summit: Green development story of open and share

The Qingdao Multinationals Summit was held from October 19 to 20 in Qingdao. With the approval the State Council, the Ministry of Commerce and the Shandong provincial government decided to implement Xi’s important instruction which is “bolstering a city by hosting an excellent meeting” making Shandong a new platform of opening up.

The Information Office of the People’s Government of Shandong Province and China Report Press jointly held a foreign media reporting activity with the theme of “New Shandong Momentum Marks a New Day for China’s Opening-up” from October 9 to 12, aiming to enhance the international community’s understanding of the economic and social development of Shandong and create a sound public opinion environment for the upcoming Qingdao Multinationals Summit. 

Journalists from the Associated Press, UPI, Der Spiegel, COLPISA, Yomiuri Shinbun, Anadolu Agency, KazInform and other international mainstream media was invited to this event and successively visited Jinan, Yantai and Qingdao feeling the development achievements of the multinationals in Shandong since the reform and opening.

China Review Studio is promoting a series of short videos recording their stories in Shandong and illustrating the charm of Shandong from the perspective of foreign media.

“Opening up” is a basic national policy in China, which Zigor believed is important for all Chinese companies.

“Opening up and reform policy of China is very important to all the companies because without this transformation they wouldn’t be here in China so I think that is one of the most important parts of China today and this is what is actually making China strong today.”
