After the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Qingdao Summit held on June 10, 2018, the effect of the Summit has continued to be amplified as a series of major events have also been held in Shandong Province, such as Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, Conference of Great Business Partners, International Summit on Innovation and Development of Youth Entrepreneurs, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Presenting Chinese Provinces of Shandong. All these activities have gathered talents, projects, and capital to inject strong impetus into Shandong's development, in order to build a new highland for opening up.

In mid-October, Qingdao Multinationals Summit will be held in Shandong Province. Before the opening of the summit, our reporter interviewed Zheng Yongnian, Director of East Asian institute at National University of Singapore. When talking about this forum, he said, “I’m thinking about not just foreign investment. Of course, now for investors, for companies, for many people, they will only think about this “money” issue. For me, it’s for beyond “money” issue. China now is the second largest economy, the largest trading nation, so whatever China do will have a huge external impact. This summit is very important for China and for the world.”
