October 19, Qingdao city in Shandong province is gathering efforts from all sides to build a big stage for high-level opening-up and development.

Leaders of world’s top 500 companies and leading enterprises who attend the Qingdao Multinationals Summit became “celebrities” on the stage. Because of the opening-up, they get to know Qingdao and develop their businesses in Qingdao. The building of Shanghai Cooperation Organization pilot zone and “the Belt and Road” international cooperation platform boosts their confidence in working with Qingdao for a better future.  

Leaders of local companies also attended this Summit. Comparing with the world’s top 500 multinationals, these companies are as young as “babies”. But thanks to the opportunities presented by “the Belt and Road Initiative”, they’re more connected to the world and more confident about the future now.  

Against the backdrop of China’s further opening-up, Qingdao is facing a new round of opening-up and building a strategic pivot for the opening-up in the north of Yangtze river region.
