Haier Group Chairman Zhou Yunjie gave a presentation on COSMOPlat, an industrial internet platform developed by the household appliance giant, during the South Korea special session on Oct 22, part of the "Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500" series of events in Jinan, capital city of the province.

During the presentation Zhou expressed the hope that his group would do further business with South Korean companies in the sector.

With 340 million users, COSMOPlat has developed into one of the top three industrial internet platforms in the world.

It stands alongside similar platforms developed by General Electric of the United States and Siemens of Germany, according to the company.

The platform offers mass-scale services to 15 sectors, including ceramics, vehicles, clothing and agriculture. With seven operational centers serving 12 regions in China, COSMOPlat has also been promoted in 20 foreign countries.

“The platform empowers companies to customize their products at speed and scale, while boosting productivity and cutting costs,” said Zhou.

“We are willing to work with Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics, Cj Group and SK to create more application scenarios in the industrial internet platform.”
