Government representatives of Rizhao city attended the US special session of the "Connecting Shandong with Fortune Global 500" event via online channels on Sept 29.

The event had its main venue in Jinan, capital of Shandong and was jointly hosted by te CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, aiming to deepen business ties between Shandong and transnational corporations from the United States.

Rizhao is home to 12 US-funded companies, mainly involved in engine rental and maintenance, furniture manufacturing, environmental management and other industries.

The city’s exports to the United States mainly include hardware tools, fitness equipment and iron and steel products, while its imports mainly include iron ore, petroleum coke, as well as seafood.
