Taikang Healthcare signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement and specific investment agreement with Chengyang district, Qingdao on Sept 17 to build a smart residential community for the aged. 

Taikang Healthcare, whose core business covers investment, development, asset management and operations, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taikang Insurance Group, a Fortune Global 500 company.

According to the agreements, the 1-billion-yuan ($147.3 million) project will span 46,667 square meters and offer a high-quality and comfortable living environment for the elderly.

The community will also offer professional nursing, high-end medical treatments and a host of other services.
