On July 24^th , the launching ceremony of the "New Energy Vehicles to the Countryside Activity" jointly directed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Commerce was held in China Railway Qingdao World Expo City in the West Coast New District. This event was organized and implemented by the China Automobile Industry Association, undertaken by the Qingdao Municipal Government, and co-organized by Auto Zongheng and new energy companies, with Qingdao Jiashidai Culture Media Co., Ltd. as a supporting unit. At the same time, the first large-scale international auto show on the West Coast-the first West Coast International Auto Show 2020 was successfully held from July 24th  to July 26th.

At the launching ceremony, Wan Gang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, delivered a remote video speech. Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ling Wen, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, and Geng Tao, Vice Mayor of Qingdao, attended and delivered speeches.

Qingdao determine to build a global advanced intelligent new energy automobile industry base. The new energy automobile industry in the city has begun to take shape. There are 4 vehicle manufacturers and 7 key component manufacturers, with a total capacity of nearly 500,000 vehicles. The municipal government has successively issued precise industrial policies covering multiple dimensions including complete vehicles, parts, technological innovation, industrial clusters, promotion and application, and industrial ecology.

As the first professional international automobile exhibition in the West Coast New Area, 2,150 cars were sold on the spot during the three-day exhibition, and the accumulated transaction amount exceeded 300 million yuan. Promoting consumption with car purchases and setting a model for the auto show. The successful holding of the first West Coast International Auto Show not only strongly stimulated automobile consumption in the West Coast New Area, but also opened a new chapter of the West Coast New Area International Automobile Exhibition, adding a business card to the construction of the West Coast “Famous Exhibition Area”, To make positive contributions to the construction of Qingdao International Fashion City.
