James Zhan is the director of the Investment and Enterprise Division of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the chief editor of the United Nations World Investment Report and Transnational Corporations. Mr. Zhan has more than 20 years of international and national work experience in the fields of investment, technology and enterprise development, including: providing policy advice to governments in formulating investment policies and strengthening the capacity-building in investment, organizing international intergovernmental conferences and negotiations, presiding over policy analysis projects, etc. The Investment and Enterprise Division of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development is in charge of investment and enterprise development within the United Nations system. It is engaged in policy analysis and research, intergovernmental investment policy coordination (193 UN member states), policy advice and technical training (covering more than 150 countries). The division has more than 100 staff from all over the world.
