Noriaki Goto is the Regional Executive for Asia and Senior Managing Executive Officer of MUFG Bank, Ltd.. MUFG Bank, Ltd. is Japan's largest commercial bank. In April 1995, it was merged by the Bank of Tokyo, Japan's specialized foreign exchange bank, and Mitsubishi Bank, one of Japan's largest metropolitan banks, and then changed its name. It operated on April 1st, 1996. In 1997, its total assets were the largest in the world. In June 2019, according to the Memorandum of Cooperation Between the People's Bank of China and the Bank of Japan, the People's Bank of China decided to authorize the MUFG Bank, Ltd. to act as Japan's RMB clearing bank.
