Following the orientation of holding a permanent forum with international characteristics, mechanism and branding, as well as doing a good job in the brand designing for the Qingdao Multinationals Summit (hereinafter referred to as "the Summit"), we are now soliciting the Logo and Slogan for the Summit from all walks of life, in order to enhance the public participation and make the Summit more well-known and influential.

I. Brief Introduction

The summit was approved by the State Council and co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Shandong Province. The Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province and the People's Government of Qingdao jointly organized the Summit. This Summit is a high-end platform that focuses on topics about multinational corporations, advocates the value of multinational corporations, spreads the voice of multinational corporations, promotes the cooperation between multinational corporations and various parties, and encourage the multinational corporations to gain a mutual benefit in China's new round of high-level opening up. The English name of the Summit is "Qingdao Multinationals Summit" and the permanent venue is Qingdao International Conference Center. The first summit will be held from October 19 to 20, 2019 and it will invite leaders of the world's top 500 companies and industry leaders at home and abroad to attend as the main guests. At the same time, the well-known figures in political circles and academic circles, representatives of international organizations and government agencies at home and abroad will attend as special guests. The main agenda of the Summint includes the opening ceremony, parallel forums, closed meetings, roadshows, etc. On the basis of consensus among all parties, documents such as the summit declaration and annual initiative will be issued.

II. Contents of Solicitation

We are now soliciting the Logo and Slogan for the Summit from all walks of life.

III. Organizer

The Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, as one of the organizers of the Qingdao Multinationals Summit, is responsible for this solicitation.

IV. Requirements

1. Logo

(1) The core design and the description of creative concept of the logo are needed.

(2) The logo should have a prominent theme, concise composition, novel creativity, profound implication, and a positive connotation. It should be easy to identify and spread. With visual appealing impacts, the logo should contain both Chinese and English.

(3) The participant can be an organization or an individual.

(4) The work should be submitted in the electronic form.

(5) In terms of expression and technical means, the logo should be highly applicable. For example, it should be applicable to planar and three-dimensional re-creation. And it also should be applicable to various occasions and carriers such as websites, documents, publicity articles and the media.

(6) The pictures and colors adopted should not conflict with the customs and habits of the major economies in the world. The logo should be unique and original, and should be obviously different from the logos adopted by other organizations at home and abroad.

2. Slogans in Chinese and English

(1) Slogans in Chinese and English should both be concise, closely linked to the orientation of the summit, catchy and easy to spread.

(2) Each participant can submit no more than 2 slogans.

(3) The participant cannot submit the work repeatedly under the same name after confirming the submission.

V. Platform for Releasing the Solicitation Notice

The solicitation notice is released on the Official Websites and WeChat Platforms of the People’s Government of Shandong Province, the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, and the People's Government of Qingdao.

VI. Solicitation Methods

1. Please submit the logos or slogans, together with the PDF version of the Letter of Commitment for Original Works (Annex 1) and the PDF version of the Application Form (Annex 2) to zj@mncsummit.org.cn by e-mail, under the headings of "Summit logo-name/organization-contact number" and "Summit slogan-name/organization-contact number". Once the works are submitted, the participants will be deemed to have fully known and accepted the solicitation rules.

2. One Letter of Commitment for Original Works shall be submitted for each work, which shall be correctly filled in and under the hand of the creator (if the participant is an organization, the authorized representative shall sign and affix the official seal of the organization); One Application Form should be submitted for each work, which should be correctly filled in and under the hand of the participant (if the participant is an organization, the authorized representative must sign and affix the official seal of the organization). If there is more than one creator, all creators must sign together.

VII. Solicitation Time

From now until 24: 00 on May 20, 2019 (E-mail is subject to the time of receipt, and expired works are deemed invalid).

VIII. Review and Reward

1. The Summit will invite experts from relevant fields to form a Review Committee to evaluate and select the winning works and then select the logo and slogan for the summit. The organizer has the final right to decide the logo and slogan.

2. If the logo is shortlisted, its participant shall provide high-precision electronic documents and further revise and perfect the work according to the requirements of the organizer.

3. After the outcome is announced, the designers of the winning works will receive the honorary certificate issued by the organization of the Summit. In terms of logos, the first prize will be rewarded to one participant, who will win RMB 30,000. The second prize will be rewarded to three participants, who will win RMB 8,000 each. The third prize will be rewarded to six participants, who will win RMB 3,000 each. In terms of slogans, the first prize will be rewarded to one participant, who will win RMB 20,000. The second prize will be rewarded to three participants, who will win RMB 5,000 each. The third prize will be rewarded to six participants, who will win RMB 2,000 each.

IX. Other

1. The participant must ensure that his/her work is original, the design plan is not published before or known to the public in any way and the participant does not copy or imitate other people's creativity. At the same time, all participants should sign the Letter of Commitment for Original Work. All legal consequences arising from non-originality shall be borne by the participant. If losses are caused to the Summit, the participant shall compensate the corresponding losses.

2. The copyright of the selected works shall be exclusively owned by the Summit. The organizers of the Summit shall enjoy all copyrights (except the right of authorship) of the selected works stipulated in the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China.

3.Participants can submit the logo and slogan at the same time, or only one of them.

4.The organizer reserves the right of final interpretation of all documents of this solicitation including this proposal.
