Pishu (Peter) Sun, CPC Party Secretary, Chairman, and CEO of Inspur Group; The 10th, 11th, and 12th National Representative of PRC; once Ten Outstanding Youth of China; and twice winner of the National Progress Award of Science and Technology.

As one of the pioneers of China’s information industry, Mr. Sun has been upholding reform and innovation strategy, contributing his dedication to Inspur and in every stage of China’s information development. In PC times, Mr. Sun and his team developed the first PC-0520 series in China, ushering in China’s IT taking-off. In 1993, when the time of the Internet was coming, Mr. Sun took the lead to develop the first server of China: SMP2000, breaking the foreign monopoly, marking the beginning of China’s server industry. Then, he was called the father of Chinese server.

In 2010, with his sensitivity to the industry changes, Mr. Sun re-ignited Inspur from a traditional product and solution provider to a cloud computing and big data operator, calling for the openness, sharing and innovation of data and building a new normal in China. He was famous for the first man of data openness in China.

Under his leadership, currently, Inspur ranks 1st in China’s server market and 5th in the world; third in China’s public cloud market; 1st in China’s government Cloud market; 1st in terms of the comprehensive big data strength in China. And Inspur has become a leading cloud computing, big data, and smart city business and solution provider. Now, Inspur is committed to becoming a new Internet enterprise of Cloud + Data.
