The Yantai section of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Yantai held a promotional meeting in Frankfurt, Germany on Nov 11 in search of investment.

More than 40 people attended the meeting, including representatives from leading German enterprises such as Henkel Group and K+S Group, and famous industry associations such as the German Federation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Zhang Juhong, deputy director of the administrative committee of the Yantai Development Zone, briefed attendees on the investment environment in the zone, describing its favorable policies, industrial foundation, cooperation with Germany, and top 10 industries, including intelligent equipment, information technology, new energy vehicles, bio-pharmaceuticals and marine economy.

Many attendees expressed willingness to visit Yantai in order to further explore cooperation opportunities. Henkel Group and K+S Group said they plan to visit the city in the near future.

This is the first time that the Yantai Development Zone has a held a promotional meeting in Europe, said Yantai authorities.
