Zibo city in Shandong province signed a US-funded sewage treatment project during the US session of the "Connecting Shandong with the Fortune Global 500" event, which took place on Sept 29.

The event had its main venue in Jinan, capital of Shandong. It was hosted by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the Shandong Provincial People's Government via both online and offline channels.

It was designed to deepen exchanges and commercial deals with multinational companies from the United States.

The sewage treatment project, being funded by the US-based Newfuture Energy Services, will build a R&D and industrial sewage treatment plant in Gaoqing county, which administered by Zibo.

The project is expected to receive a total investment of $10 million.

Zibo promoted the city’s investment policies at the event and hosted supporting activities.
